will be held three days, May 16, 17

Hamlett Suffers Breakdown.
Louisville, May 10. Barksdale
Hamlett, former superintendent of
Public Instruction, is undergoing
treatment for a nervous breakdown.
He came to Louisville Thursday and
is under the caro of Dr. Curran Pope.

apartment near the institution and is

van, former United States minister to
Santo Domingo, who was arrested
following the recent uprising in Ire
land, notified the American embassy
from Dublin that he had been released.
I Four more of the leaders in the
Irish revolt have been sentenced io
death by the Dublin court martial and
executed according to an official
statement They were Cornelius Col
bort, Edmund Kent, Michael Mallon
and J. J. Heuston.
Nineteen others concerned in the
insurrection were sentenced to death
but the sentence was commuted to
various terms of penal servitude. On
three others prison terms were im
posed. Two were acquitted.
