No. 1, met at White Hall last Friday with a large attendance of teachers, patrons and trustees. After the welcome address by Miss Koon, and response by Mr. Waid, many interesting, and instructive talks, were made. A few of Miss Koon's pupils delivered some amusing, and entertaining exercises which everyone enjoyed and which goea to prove her efficiency, as instructor and disciplinarian. Miss Koon is one of the most progressive teachers of the county nnd the patrons of White Hall are very lucky in having secured her as teacher of their school. Prof. J. U. Snyder and Supt. E. J. Travis, were present and took an active part in the Association. At 11:80 the meeting adjourned to partake of a sumptuous dinner which was spread by the good people of the community. Prof. J. U. Snyder in an afternoon talk, expressed his thanks that no one had kept count of the number of pieces of pie he had eaten. Hut all felt amply repaid for the pie by the very excellent talks he made in the Supt. Travis spoke with his usual fire and eothueiaem en subjects relative to Crittenden Co., schools, and school work. At 8:90 the Association adjourned and all went home feeling that the cause of education had been fostered and furthered by this meeting at White Hall. A Teacher.
