At the regular October term 1809
the Adair Fiscal court I was by an 54
order of said court appointed a Com
missioner and directed by said order to 50
make a settlement with J W Hurt
Sheriff of Adair County of his ac 57
counts of the collections and disburse
ments made by him of the taxes levied 58
bysaid Court at Its October term
1898 to be collected and paid to the 59
creditors of said county by said Sheriff
during the year of 1899 In accordance CO
with said order I did on the 24th day
March 1900 call on saidjSheriff and 01
make a settlement of said accounts 62
with him
1 first charged him with the total 63
number of tithes or poll tax listed by
the Assessor for taxation for the year 04
1699 at 8150 each I also charged him
with the poll tax of four persona1 at G5
150 which the Assessor had failed to
list but which had since been report CO
listed and the tax collected by said
Sheriff 1 then charged him with 07
twentytwo and onehalf cents oc each
810000 worth of taxable property of 09
the county as listed and assessed by
said Assessor and equalized and certifi 70
w the clerk for advalorem taxation
for said year 1 also charged him with 71

Assessor had failed to list but which

taxes collected thereon by said Sheriff
