They report a most delightful time
DIED at her home in Middles
boro at 615 Thursday evening
Mrs RE Jones who until one
week ago Wednesday was Miss
ZuJa Jones The deceased was a
daughter of Mr and Mrs Luke
Jones and a granddaughter of the
late J J Williams June 28 had
been set as her wedding day when
she was to have ben united in
marriage to Mr R E JoneF of
Detroit a young man of sterling
traits of character At the appointed
time the intended groom arrived
but only to find that one whom he
adored honored and loved upon
the bed of affliction and which
proved to be bet death bed Day
after day came and went and with
each succeeding day a gradual de
cline was ery noticable On Wed
nesday of last week the groom
being desirous of remaining by the
bedside and administering to the
wants of her whom he had looked
forward to as his helper comforter
and companion through life and
the license were secured the cere
mony performed which joined them
into one happy union As portrayed
by an aunt of the deceased it was
a beautiful devotion displayed by

The deceased was onJy 18 years
of age beautiful and attractive
with an affectionate disposition and
and bright and winning in her
ways
Mrs Jones sickness was of
brief durationless than one month
seemingly with us today active in
lifes round of duty and love but
gone tomorrow
The remains were brought to
Mt Vernon on the 457 train Wed
desday evening and taken to the
home of Miss Mat Williams and
Mrs Fanny Adams aunts of the
deceased where short services
were conducted bv Rev Watson of
the Christian Church after which
the remains were laid to rest in
Elmwood Cemetery to await the
resurrection morn
