LEXINGTON DISAPPOINTED
The census returns have been
made public as to Lexington They
show 26869 people in the Blue
Grass Capital This is a great dis
appointment to the good people of
that city especially as a census
made in 1898 showed that there
were 81816 people there There can
be no doubt that Lexington has
grown considerably since 1808 and
that would certainly indicate that
the 1000 census is incorrect
