Yesterday, the close of;the big Bonus
Vote Offer, was a busy day for the
contest department. AJ1 day long and
up until 9 o'clock in the evening the
contestants and their friends kept
bringing in the subscriptions. Almost
every active candidate in the race
called at the contest department during
the day or sent in subscriptions bvmail
and hundreds of thousands of votes
were issued.
The Big Bonus Offer, with a slight
change, will be repeated again this
week. 9,000 extra votes will be given
on all new subscriptions and 8,000 ex
tra votes on all old subscriptions
turned in before December 2. No ex
tra inducement other than above men
tioned will be given on old subscrip
tions in North Middletown and Mil
lersburg as was made in the offer of
last week.
Contestants should call the attention
of the subscribers to the fact that
those who are in arrears after the con
test closes will be cutoff the list." Un
cle Sam's new ruling makes it impera

scriptions paid in advance. Otherwise
they must pay the full first class post
age rate.
If there is any mistake in the count
of any contestant's vote up until today
it must5.be called to the attention of
the campaign -manager before next
Thursday noon. Otherwise the count
must be taken as correct up to the
present date.
Everyone who is in the race at the
present time has a good chance to win.
In a great many instances, the prizes,

ant is making a big mistake if she
does not put forth her very best efforts
from now until the close. The princi

and the contestants is discouragement.
