year making a total of 953000 hogs to date

Quality suffering from modification in the
genera average Markets have been ex
cited and prices very sharply advanced and
at the close are 00 and 70 cents per 100
pounds higher than a week ago and about
90 cents per 100 pounds above the average
for the winter season places now operat
ing averaging about 445 compared with
about 353 for these points during the win
ter months an advance of ox er 23 per cent
