TIIE VEGETABLE PILLS,
Prepared by the Graefenbcrff Company
Were compounded after long study and observation of the
laws of nature, and a close reflection upon the propertiia of
different medicinal agents, so that taken together, they
should form a pill which would act in harmony with these
laws, and aid nature hersell to work a cure. We must ob
serve that when the body is diseased, the various organs
composing the vital system make effort to throw off th. dis
order, and it is to aid these organs in their work that medi
cine is designed. The remedies too often used will not do
this, but will, by main force, if we may ue the expression,
npset the whole vital organisation, and, while carrying off
the diseased matter, will leave every part of the system un
strung, even if it do not bring on other derangements worse
than the first. The true operation of medicine i to give
increased activity to ihe mean jionted by nature Jin-the
removal of the caune ofdvmue. This can be done by gen
tle means, and we know from observation and experience,
that the Grafaenberg Vegetable Pills combine the kinds and
quantities of vegetable re m -dies necessary to effect the de
aired end .
The inventor of the pills was for many year, afflicted with
a complication of diseases, the result of some bilious derange
ment. It seemed utterly impossible that hi. health should
ever be restored, and the best exertions of the profession
were all in vain. A physician himself, he spent many a
weary hour in reflecting on medicine and its effects, and to
th. torturing pains of a sick bed, mavie traced the discov
ery of a pill which restored the dis&verer to health, and
which ia now in constant use by hundred, of thousands, who
can attest its efficacy.
Price, 85 cents per box, or five boxes for $1.
Gimnn: The Graefenberg Medicines are taking finely
as th. peopl. ar. becoming acquainted with them ; the Kar
.aparilla has especially done wonders in cases of liver and
lung complaint, of long standing one case in particular,
that of Judge Uardenhire, who ba. been confined to hit
bouse for nearly two years with an Infernal disease, so bad
that he was afraid to walk out of sight for rear he would
drop down. Two bottles of the Sarsaparilla and three boxes
of the Vegetable PilU have made him quite well and stout,
lie is lot attending to hi. business aa actively aa he ever
waa, and It would p ease you to hear him express himseif in
favor of your medicines. They all giv. satisfaction in every
case. SAMUEL A MACKENZIE. P. M.
