FOB. ALL THE PTJEPOSXS OF A
There has long existed a public demand for an
effective ptirs;ative pill which could be relied on as
ure and perfectly safe in its operation. This has
been prepared to meet that demand, and an exten
sive trial of its virtues has conclusively shown with
what success it accomplishes the purpose designed.
It is easy to make a physical pill, but not easy to
make the best of all pill one which should have
none of the objections, but all the advantages, of
every other. This has been attempted here, and
with what success we would respectfully submit to
the public decision. It has been unfortunate for
the patient hitherto that almost every purgative
medicine is acrimonious and irritating to the bow
els. This is not. Many of them produce so much
priping pain and revulsion in the system as to more
than counterbalance the good to be derived from
them. These pills produce no irritation or pain,
unless it arise from a previously existing obstruc
tion or derangement in the bowels. Being purely
vegetable, no hann can arise from their use in any
quantity ; but it is better that any medicine should
betaken judiciously. Minute directions for their
use in the several "diseases to which they are ap
plicable are piven on the box. Among ihc com
plaints which have been speedily cured by them, we
may mention Liver Complaint, in its various forms
of Jaundice, InditrcHtinn, Languor and Loss of Ap
petite, I.istlessness, Irritability, Bilious Headache,
Bilious Fever, Fever and Ague, l'ain in the Hide
and Loins ; for, in truth, all these are but the con
sequence of diseased action in the liver. As an
aperient they afford prompt and sure relief in Cos
tiveness, Files, Colic, Dysentery, Humors, Scrof
ula and Scurvy. Colds with soreness of the body,
Ulcers and impurity of the blood ; in short, any
and every case where a purgative is required.
They have also produced some singularly suc
cessful cures in khpumatisin. Gout, Dropsy, (irsvel,
F.rjsipelas, i'alpitation of the Ilenrt, Pains in the
Hack, Stomach, and Side. They should be freely
taken in the spring of the year, to purify the blood
and prepare the system for the change ol seasons.
An (Mcii:.ional dose stimulates the stomach and
bowels into healthy action, and restores the appe
tite and vigor. Tliey purify the blood, and, by tln-ii
stimulant action on the circulatory system, reno
vate the strength of the body, and restore the
wasted or diseased energies of the whole organism.
Hence an occasional dose is advantageous, even
though no serious derangement exists; but tin
necessary dotting should never be carried too fur,
as every purgative medicine reduces the strength,
when taken to excess. The thousand cases in which
a physic is reqniird cannot lie enumerated here, but
they' suggest themselves to the reason of every
body; and it is confidently belieed this pill will
ansuer a better purpose than any thing hich has
hitherto been available to mankind. When their
virtues are once known, the public will no longer
doubt what remedy to employ when in need of a
cathartic medicine. Iking sugar-wrapped they are
pleasant to take, anil being purely egctable, lit
harm can aruc from their use in any quantity.
For minute directions see wrapper oil the Box.

This, remedy has won for itself such notoriety
from its cures of every variety of pulmonary disease.,

certificates abundantly prove.
Prof. 0. J. Wood Dear Sir: Unsolicited I send you this

having tried all the h.iir restoratives extant, and havir.g no

I have used Prof. O.J. Wood's Hair rcsloriitive, and have
atluiireil its wonderful effect. My hair was becoming, as I
thought, premature'y gray but by the use of his lte-i'ora-tive,
it has resumed its original color, and I have no doubt
permanently so. SIDNEY BREESE,

Prof. Wood Dear Sil : Having made trial of your Hair

been excellent in removing itill imruntion, dandruff and a
constant tendency to itching, Willi which I have b e-i troub

was becoming m ay, to its original color. 1 have used no

Dear Sir: 1 urn doing an extensive travel in the Western

me with acotisignment of Pro'. Wood's liatr Restorative, as

it is not known, as my own head is a living testimony of its
valuable properties, in iestoring hair to its natural color.
