Mr. Henry Sawyer took eight grains
of morphine Tuesday evening about 7
o'clock, from which he died yesterday
morning at S o'clock ai his home on
Chesapeake avenue. On returning from
the Elizabeth Knitting Mills, where he
hail been at work during the day, .he
complained of a pain in his breast and
asked his wife If she had any morphine,
as slit- was in the ha hit of keeping the
ding for relief of pain suffered by him,
the result of a. horse throwing him and
stepping on ins breast a year ago last
April, of which he had complaint 1
ever Since. She had none and he went to
the drug store ami purchased '-*> cents
worth, and on returning home took
