N r. :«.» — Vixel in "thebusiness tiistiic ihis morning destroyed 9290,000 in property, • ENGINEERS DECIDE ON SEA LEVEL CANAL WASHINGTON, Nov. 20.—The board of consulting engineers of the Isthmian canal commission today de clared itself by a large majority in favor of a sea level canal. The con cluison was readied after a long and careful study of the project. Since the beginning of September the board had neld meetings and iv special su the pans of a sea level oanal wi:h the greatest care. A trip to the isthmus was made to enable the members to form a better idea of the physical difficulties which had to be considered.
