and a half pounds cf fat, and let It toil 2 hours and
10 minutes. Then add a small half pint of salt,
and let it continue boiling 35 minutes longer, when
vou add half a gallon of Ast water, and let It come
to a boll. Pour a small tumblerful of cold water
into a tub or box to wet it round the siles, then
empty the soap In, to stand all night, and cut it
in bars in the morning.
Made in the same way, with the exception of
adding ttiteen gallons of water Jind nu salt. All
