Atherton, who went to tho Fanny Allen hospital two weeks ago Tuesday for treatment, died there Friday morning at 10:4". o'clock. Mr. Atherton was born on Brlgham hill, Essex, 50 years ngo and wns tho only on of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius S. Ather ton of this place, who survive him. A bister died many years ago. Mr. Ather ton had suffered with a cancer of tho stomach for the past two years, but bad been able to be about most of the time although he had suffered much. Tho funeral was held at the home of his parents Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Miss Rhoda E. Hamlin, aged 71 years, died Monday at the home of her nclce, Mrs. Mlnot Smith, of Park street after an illness of four montlis.
