Mr. Sturgess, with singing of "Auld Lang Syne" by all. Cards and letters of congratulation were received from friends far and near. The Sifts wore numerous and valuable and testified to the esteem In which they ire held bv their friends. There were fine bouquets of carnations and daffodils, the gifts of Mr. and M-s. P. S. Scrlbncr. W. H. Metcalf and Mr. and Mrs. II. B. Howard. Ilcloun refreshments were served, sand wlches, cake of many kinds nnd coffee, with tho wedding cako last, and it proved is ngrccablu to tho tasto as It had becn beautiful In Its illumination. This was tho fourth golden wedding anniversary In this village within a few years and 'he other couples wero present on this occasion.
