ciety.
2. It would lessen the forces
of the temptations which often
lead men to barter honor and
honesty for display.
3. If there was less strife in
dress at church, people in mod
erate circumstances would be
more. inclined to attend.
4. Universal moderation in
dress at church would improve
the worship by the removal ot
many wandering thoughts.
5. It w uM enable all clas
ses of people to attend church
better in unfavorable weather.
G. It would lessen, on the
part of the rich the temptation
of vanity.
7. It would lessen on the
part of the poor, the tempta
tion to be envious and mali
cious. 8. It would save valuable
time on the Sabbath,
9. It would relieve our minds
from a serious pressure, and
thus enable us to do more for
good enterprises.
Many sift night and day, and
yet get n thing but bran.
Virtue survives the grave.
Every man esteems his own
misfortune the greatest.

Evcrif year inr,reae the popu

alone. We can assure our old
patron that it ia kept fully vp to
tts hiah standard, and to those
who have never used it we can
confidently say, that it is the only
reliable and perfected prepara
tion to restore Oil AY OR FADED
IIAIll to its youthful color, mak

the scalp, by its use, becomes
white and clean ; it removes all
eruptions and dandruff, and by
its tonic properties prevents the
hair from falling out, as it stim
ulates and nourishes tfie hair
glands. By its use the hair grows
thicker ana stronger. In baldness
it restores the capillary glands
to their normal vigor, and will
create a veto growth except in
extreme old age. It is the most
economical HAIR DUESSIIVU

that spletulld glossy appearance
so much admired by all. A. A.
Hayes, M.D., State Assaycr of

excellent quality, and I consider
it the BEST l'REI'AHATION for
its intended purposes." We pub

we send free by mail upon appli

physicians, the press, and others.
We have made ttie study of the
