MISSOURI REPUBLICAN. Prospectous for 1872. Tho nroffrcsa of the age, bo mar- relons and startlins, exacts of Jonr- naliara a cammoosurate spirit of co terprise, and such tho conductors of the Missouri Republican endeavor to infuse into all its varied depart ments. In imatolv identified with very effort for tho advancement of the West and; South, the Republi can has long been the ncunowieagea reflector and exponent of the maiorial interests of these sections 15 jt its sphere is not confined to the West find South. Tho concerns of the nation are discuscd in its col umos, and tho intelligence it prints are gathered from all quarters of the globe. Independent and fearless, the Republican is never subservient to cliques or coteries. Ita highest aim is to be tho organ of tho intelligent thought of the people. Its mission is to teach, to elovate, to reform, and its political creed embraces thouso great principles of liberty which the Democratic party has long been tho only true exponent in America. In the discussion of the vital ques tion which must arise within the next twelve-months the Republican will be found at the front pointing tho way, not waiting to be shown, The "Slissouri Policy," with which it is prominently identified, is al ready recognized as furnishing the only hope ot relief from the oppres sions of the dominant party. It has truck a responsive chord in the hearts of the people and will con. tir.ue to grow in popular favor till it finds its crowning glory at the polls on tho 4th of next November. But not alone or chiefly as an ad vocate and director of political ro form does tho Republican present its claimB. As a vehicle lor the transmission of news and of intelli gence on every subject, it will com mend itself to readers of all shades of political faith. Its editorial corps is large and composed of wri ters who have made journalism a profession, their particular depart ment a speciality, and who bring to their labors tho earnestness which results from its being their life-long ealling. Neither labor nor expense will bo spared to obtain the latest intelligence, whether local, domes- tio or foreiarn. and a larzo corps of correspondents and a liberal uso of the telegraph will make each issue ft compact and comprehensive his tory of the 'world's doings.'
