Information reaching me renders this formal, though belated announcel ment necessary and I realize its pros' priety and importance. With my experience of the past, had some hesitancy in entering into. th:s campaign; but since the last elec Ftion, political conditions have changed in the District, other men in power are supporting me, the 28th Judiciai Distract Democratic Ltague, an orgt nization composed of responsible and representat.ve citizens, has endorsid my candidacy and I am more thtn hopeful of being elected The democrats and people of St John have always stood by me every time I was a candidate for office and with a loyalty and fidelity to which no man can be insensible and which is one of the consolations of my life. I again come to them with this mo dest appeal for their votes and sup port. The Judiciary is above and should be independent of factional politics be independent of factional politics.
