This was wrong. The Constitutioa says that the Clerk shall receive nothing from either the State or the Parish in criminal matters, and the Police Jury is under no obi gations to furnish him stationery or pay his etlce' expenses. Also one bill for stamps for the Sheriffs office, being paid by check No. 19 to Wi. J. Hart for $33.00. This should be drawn out ef the Sheri8fs 8alary Fund aid put back into the General Fund. Payment includes birth and death warrant No. 1448. as $5.25; should be $4.75--Overpaid S. It might be well for us to state that the ordinance passed on September 2, 1120, authorisig the borroWing of $26,000.00 for the repair and maintenance of the graveled road -of the Parish, seems to by it order, and since this oan rms been placed in bank to the credit of the General Fund, and has been properly disbursed, we recommend that it be continued in this manner.
