The Parish Board of Equalization of assessments "for the Parish of St. John the Baptist met this 10th, day of February 1921 at the Courthouse for the purpose of organizing. There were present, Messrs. James V Che net and E. S. Dutreix members ap pointed by the Police Jury, and A. Lasseigne appointed by the Board of State Affairs. On motion duly seconded their com missions and oaths of office were or dered spread on the minutes of the Board, ,and on motion of Mr. James V. Chenet, seconded by Mr. E. S. Du treix, Mr. A. Lasseigne was elected Chairman of the Board and on mo tion duly seconded Mr. James V. Chenet was appointed Vice-Chairman and Mr. E. S. Dutreix Secretary of the Board.
