Standard Oil May Bo Dissolved. There is good reason to believe that the government, has decided to institute proceedings sgiinst the Standard Oil company under the Sherman Anti-Trust act, witba view ot obtaining an order of the court dissolving tbe company as it now exist, and restoring to eacb of the 75 or bO constituent companies its pro portional share of tbe slock and com pelling the observance ot the law in inhibiting them from entering into any contract, agreement or understanding with each i.h a view to maintaining prices on oil. John Connolly is helping the firm in the work of invoic ing. The University club held its first moot ing ot the season at Tbe Manchester Monday cvming with Dr. J. P. GilTord as host. Jones, who came from Cand ler, Fla., over a year ago in a very feeble s ate and was taken at once to the Ran dolph sanatorium, where she soon began to mend, has been in Winooski during the bitter part of her convalescence. Monday, after a brief visit to ber nephew, W. j. Blodgett, and bis family in this village, she started for the South again, being ap parently fully restomd to health. She stopped en route at West Lebanon, N. II,, to see her nephew, l.eet Blodgett, before proceeding to New York to sail from thit port to Jacksonville. The Boston Musical club will give a concert in Du Hois ,t Gay's hull Thursday evening, Nov. 22, under the auspices of the Randolph Kotertui-'nient course.
