on February ist the style of the firm will be changed. In order to close out the entire stock by

Shoots, Shoots entered her rooms, in
Washington street, and demanded tho
note or her brains. She told him
she preferred to give him the
note, and wont over to a dresser drawer
on the opposite side of tho room to get it.

taking out the note she took out a !M
calibro revolver and opened lire on him.
Two shots were fired, one taking effect
in the shoulder and tho other in the hip.
Neither wound is considered serious.
This is not Shoots' first lucky escape.
A fow years ago he had a difficulty with
Bob Muir, and Muir shot him square in
tho breast. Tho ball passed through
Shoots' clothes, just over the heart, but
struck a silk handkerchief and did not
penetrate the body. Mrs. Orr has been
arrested and will have a hearing.
