Washington Dec 19 The navy de
partment has received a cablegram
from Rear Admiral Glass at Panama
to the effect that according to a re
port which has just reached him from
a steamer a small force of Colombian
troops which have been discovered at
the irouth of Atrato river have sailed
to the northward in Colombian gun
boats Admiral Glass has not been
able to verify the report
