Oakland Cal April 21 All boats
available are pressed into service this
morning transferring San Francis
cans to this side of the hay
Food Is distributed to each boat
load as it arrives Only the prompt
arrival of relief supplies hfrr today
prevented famine on tills side of the
bay
Oakland papers this niornfng sent
out thousands of lists of names of
San Franciscans giving their tem
porary abodes also lists of Injured
aie furnished for free distribution
throughout the city and through the
refugee camps
At Mayor Schmidts temporary of
fice Fillmore and Jlush streets and
in all camps registers are opened
These will bo the means of reuniting
hundreds of families and arc relluv
