Churches Destroyed at Zephyr By the
Cyclone Will Be Rebuilt By the
People of Above City

Port Worth Texas June 2 Port
Worth church people here today de
cided to undertake the rebuilding of
the Baptist and Methodist churches
at Zephyr destroyed Saturday last by
a cyclone A meeting is to be held
Thursday to discuss plans for raising
funds and a general collection will
likely result for this purpose
ENOUGH FOOD AND CLOTHING
But Money Is Needed For Relief of
Sufferers at Zephyr

Brownwood Texas June 2 The
relief committee looking after the
tornado sufferers at Zephyr have au
thorized the Texas News Service to
announce that no more food and cloth
ing Is needed by the stricken town
but that more funds are wanted for
repairing and rebuilding the homes
destroyed The Brownwood relief
committee is visiting the scene of the
disaster daily and doing all possible
to relieve the distress Rev Morris
of Foit Worth today advised that the
Fort Worth churches purpose assist
ing in rebuliding the destroyed
churches
No additional deaths are erported
today

of Mrs Emma Stelzer who vowed in
a death message unless her funeral
was conducted from the house of Ja
cob Warner the man she loved she
would send her spirit to haunt and
to vex him for the remainder of his
life Warner scoffed at the strange
threats and would have nothing to do
with her funeral The pastor had
scarcely begun to read the burial ser
vice when the earth around the open
grave caved in Just as the pall
bearers were about to lower the cas
ket into the grave one side of the
grave caved in against and caught the
casket holding it like a vice
President D J Neill of the Farmers
Union Says Farmers are Or
ganizing Against Them

dent D J Neill of the Texas Farmers
Union here today stated that the farm
ers throughout the state are organiz
ing against automobiles and are car
rying guns for the drivers He says
he expects to hear of a killing at any
time Hundreds of local unions he
declares are adopting drastic resolu
tions against automobiles

Hamilton Ont June 2 The thirty
sixth general assembly of the Presby
terian church in Canada opens here
this evening for a session of two
weeks There is practically a full at
tendance of the ministerial commis
sioners and the arrivals tomorrow
are expected to make up the comple
ment The representation of elders is
also large and includes many distin
guished men prominent in former as
semblies
There are many big questions that
will come before the present commis
sioners Church union Is the most im
portant of these and it is predicted
that it will cause a keen discussion
The basis of union has already been
agreed upon and it remains for the
assembly on behalf of the Presbyte
rian church either to accept modify
or reject it altogether

nan county was found dead hanging

morning He left the house saying
he would feed the stock He was suf

laid down on the bed and pulled the
string As a result the entire load
went through his stomach causing in
stant death He was despondent and
ill He leaves no family

Haywani mill was blown down doing

plant o close down Farmers from
severa miles around reported heavy
wind and rain and corn blown down
and broken Cotton is not damaged

The total rainfall has
