Anderson McGregor, a motor man onone of the Chattanooga elec tric street car lines, visited his par ents here this week. A municipal election will be held Dec. 8th for one Alderman to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Mr. I. W. Smith. The Methodist Church was well filled at the Thanksgiving service Thursday morning. None of the business houses were closed.however The pupils of the City Schools had holiday. -Mrs. D. F. College, and no young lady ever ed ucated there could claim more friends and admirers in McMinnville than Miss Pearl. All who knew her then will give her a warm welcome back! to McMinnville. Sparta Expositor : Sheriff Mont gomery captured Fate Mecks, col., one of the escaped couvicts, at Dock Hudgins', near town, on Tuesday, and left with him on Wednesday for Nashville, where he was paid the re ward of $25 and expenses. Corporation tax payers should call on City Marshal Maxwell dur ing next month and settle their taxes or they will become delinquet and penalties be added Jan 1st. See notice in advertising columns. The hog law passsed second reading at the council meeting Tues day night, and will pass third and final reading at next meeting, ten days after which it will go into ef fect. City Marshal Maxwell says the law will be strictly enforced.
