Sheriff Berry departed for
Booneville, Mo., Tuesday with
Albert A. Joggers t, a 18 years
old boy who wns ordered sent to
the Missouri Reformatory by
the Juvenile Court.
Memorial Day was celebrated
in Ste. Genevieve last Sunday.
Members of the G. A. R. and
soldiers of the late war met at
Buumstark's Park at 10 o'clock
a. m. and marched preceded by
the Ste. Genevieve Band to the
Cemeteries and decorated the
graves.
Miss Marie Moore entertained
a number of her friends at 1 or
homo in this city last ThursiLj
evening including several sol
diers and Sailors. Refresh
ments were served, the table
decorations were in Red, White
and Blue. In the center of the
table was a bust form of Presi
dent Wilson.

At a 9 o'clock Nuptial Mass at
the Catholic Church in Ste.
Genevieve on Monday, June 2,
1919, Miss Mary M. Eckert and
Walter E. Baumann wore united
in marriage by Rev. C. L. van.
Tourenhoufc. The bride was at
tended by the groom's sister,
Miss Maggie Baumann, and the
bride's half-brothor, Edward
Huber, acted as the groom's
best man. The bride is the
daughter of the late Henry
Eckert and' Mrs. John Huber,
of Zell, and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Bau
mann, of River aux Vases. The
wedding dinner and reception
was held at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Xavier Kiefer in Ste.
Genevieve to the near relatives
and friends. The happy couple
left on the evening train for
Festus where they will make
their home.
The marriage of Miss Louise
A. Karl to Joseoh C. Udin? took
place Monday morning, June 2
1919, at the Catholic Church at
Zell during a Nuptial Mass at
which Rev. Father Fabri
officiated. The witnesses to the
ceremony were Miss Lottie Ud-
ing, a sister of the groom, and
William Karl, a brother of the
bride. The bride is the daught
er of the late John Karl and
Mrs. Elizabeth Karl, of Zell, and
the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Uding of Ste.
Genevieve. The wedding fes
tivities were held at the home of
the groom's parents where a
dinner and supper was partaken
of by the near relativess of the
couple. The young couple will
make their home with the
bride's mother on a farm near
Zell.

Mrs. Louise Caldwell, nee
Bogy, beloved wife of John B.
Caldwell, died suddenly at her
home in St. Mary's, Mo., Tues
day afternoon, June 3, 1919, aged
09 years. The deceased was the
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Bogy. Besides her
husband, she is survived by four
children, Mary, Mrs. Frank
Roseman, Leonora, Mrs. Tobias
inomure and Harry and Byrne
Caldwell. She also leaves one
brother, Frank Bogy of Ozora,
and three sisters, Laura, Mrs.
Philip Karst and Misses Jose
phine and Lessie Bogy of St.
Louis and six grand children.
The deceased spent all her life in
the vicinity in winch she died.
She had a wide circle of friends.

genuine sorrow. The funeral
was held from the Catholic
Chu rch Thu rsday morning at 9
o'clock, after which the body was
laid to rest in the St. Mary's
Uathohc Cemetery.
