Found dead on the 23d inst., on the La
porte road, about nine miles North west of
this place, a man nnposeu to be about 4.r
years of age, five feet 6 inches high, light com
plexion,dark brown hair, and bald-headed.
Upon inquest, was found in his breeches
pocket, SI 50 in silver change, a pocket kni e,
2 pair of Spectacle, one with and the other
without a case, a bundle containing 2 shirts, a
i' ort coat, light color, together with a small
kit ol shoemakin tools and a nint flnvlr re
taining about one gill of whisky. It is sup
posed by the jury that he came to his death
by excessive drinking and lying on the damp
round, as there were no marks of violence
