Mr. and Mrs. 'Orvill McCarty of near Clio, visited Friday and Satur- atiended meeting. Mrs. Maud Beavers and children came in Friday from a few weeks visit with relatives in Nebraska. They were accompanied home by Ar by Beavers, a son of Ed Beavers. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Mitchell and Miss Edna Walker who have been holding Apostolic meetings here left Monday for Princeton to take Bro. Howell's place in the meetings at that place. Rev. Goben closed meet ings at Leon Sunday night and will take Rev. Mitchell's place here. Mr. and Mrs. John Farver were Leon visitors Monday. Mrs. A. K. Keller is some better a£ this writing. We have heard the sad news. Dr. Lovetfs are packing and preparing to move from this place to Lineville. We are very sorry to lose this very estimable family from our commun ity, but we wish the Dr. success wherever he goes. Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Hutchinson of Garden Grove, George Sapp and fam ily, Orvihe Lewis and family of Al lerton and Miss Minnie Ferris were visitors at the T. M. Riddle home Thanksgiving. George Johnston and family of near Lineville and Charley Johnston and family and Mrs. Austin John ston and children took Thanksgiving dinner at the Henry Johnston home. Charles Blanchard and family spent Saturday night and Sunday at the Harry Perkins home. What might have proved a fatal accident occurred to Austin John ston the first of last week.. Mr. John ston was hauling hay and in some way was caused to pitch forward, striking his head on the wheel, caus ing quite a bruise. He is some bet ter at the present. Johnnie Grogan was a caller at the Dennis Daughton home Sunday. He was accompanied home by his daughter, Marie. Clifford Winland and family were Lineville callers Saturday. Jim McDowell from Garden Grove, was down in these parts a couple of days last week assisting J. C. Mc Ghee to set telephone poles. Elmer and Perry Johnston from near the Grove took Thanksgiving dinner with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Johnston. Mr. Curry who has been helping to-complete the new hduse on the Dennis Daughton farm, returned t9 his home in Leon Saturday. Kier from Shenandoah, came Saturday for a visit at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Woodard. Miss Cetta Kyle who is attending school at Decatur, spent Thanksgiv ing vacation at home. Leahy, George Barlean and Miss Bessie Butts. Henry Altig and wife departed Friday for their home at Petersburg, Illinois, after a visit of several weeks at the C. E. Leahy home. Mrs. W. M. Baker was calling on Leon friends Saturday. A. J. Butts is hauling corn to Leon this week. Miss Lizzie Ellis called on her friend, Mrs. C. E. Leahy, Saturday. Elmer Boyd is getting ready to start to Nebraska in a few days, and expects to make his future home there. Green A'alley. The pie supper at Tennessee was well attended Thursday night.
