Last Saturday Adam Rhamy was operated upon at his home for blad der trouble by Drs. Eiker and Lyon. Dr. Lyon gave the anesthetic. The patient is getting along nicely. Miss Georgia Hull was in Leon Monday, having dental work done. The mail carriers have been hav ing a hard time of it this winter with so much snow and mud. The little son of Elva Baker and the little daughter of Leonard Still are having a siege of whooping cough and it is going to give the little ones a hard struggle to get over it. Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Cox visited with their da-ughter Mrs. Bert Dob son one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jud 'Flora visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cox last Tuesday. Lew Dobson is doing some carpen ter work for Geo. Cox this week. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cox attended the Apostolic meetings at Davis City last Saturday evening. Several from here attended the funeral of Mrs. Douglas Davis held at the Union church at Davis City. She was buried in the Davis City cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Vandell have re tired from farm life and have mov ed to Davis City to take life easier. Mrs. James Sales of New Virginia, was visiting at the home of her un cle, Dow Parker, a couple of days the past week. Mrs. Elizabeth Shaffer returned to her home in New Virginia after visit ing several weeks with her brother, Dow Parker.
