It waB a family party and was planned by her children and came as 5 a complete surprise,, but was noae the less enjoyed for that. The little son of Mr. Latta, had fan experience last Sunday that he will hot soon forget. He nad taken a paper to read and laid down near •fijj tile stove and soon went to sleep. Horton, of Good land, was interviewing old friends in Davis City last Monday. The M. Mrs. Hal Overton, who has been visiting for several days in Des Moines, returned to her home last Wednesday. Quite a few from this neighbor hood attended the entertainment for the soldier boys at Leon Tuesday evening. We will miss the boys that are taken from our neighborhood. We hope and trust that each one may return to their loved ones at home again. We are in sympathy with the fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters where there is one taken awav. Will Woods called at H.
