Hastings presiding. Minutes P. L. of the last meeting read and approv ed, on motion and vote the follow ing business was transacted: The Board decided to raise the salary of Deputy Recorder Lester G. Gardner Tea dollars per month to begin the first of Oct., 1918. The board now considers the claim of W. R. Greenlun former county engineer and finds the same correct for the month of August 1918 and for 37.03. The county auditor is instructed to deduct from said amount the following: $7.20 due Jesse Caldow for use of auto and allowed expense account of W. .R. Greenlun for the month of May 1918 by error, and 6.50 for ruler belonging to Decatur county and not returned the county, and 7.50 for the use of county car making total of 21. 20, and the balance of 15.83 to issue warrant therefore to W. Greenlun and by verbal or der between W. R. Greenlum and C. D. Osborn the above amount of 15.83 to be turned over to Elba ShpwmAtcpr Board now -authorizes the coun ty auditor to draw warrant to Sam McCroskey for land for road in the amount of 150.00 and tender the same to Mr. McCroskey as payment in full for said land. Board now ac cepts the donation of the G. A. R. and others for the purpose of pro viding a new flag for the staff now being erected on the court house grounds and hereby tenders their thanks for the same and also the good wishes of the people of the county.
