gued that a railroad company has a
direct selfish interest in fostering the
prosperity of any section it may
traverse therefore if left to its own
methods it will allow low rates of
transportation on whatever is to bee
aweused to build up the towns which
will make its future business larger

officials were indicted for willful nega
ligence Of the many suits against
the company for the death of pas
