Presbyterian church. Monday evening

At tbo Church of the Nativity Christ
mas was celebrated with duo splendor
and Milemnlty. At 8 o'clock cominun-
ion muss said, followed by the mas of
thanksgiving. Many of the congrega
tion approached holy communion at
these masses. High mass wan chanted
at 11 o'clock, at which the xermou of
the day was delivered by the reverend
pastor. Thu music ivu extraordinarily
tine and shou'ed the results of studious
work. Benediction of thu Most itler-sei!
Sacrumetii followed liumeillately after
mass.
Santa Claus visited the school of the
Nativity Monday, and after being en
tertained by the children with songs
and recitations, distributed the good
things he had brought and left after
tilling many an aching void.
