Pursuant to the adjournment
taken July 2Gth, 1909, the Mayor
and Common Council of the Town
of Flagstaff met in the Town hall
. Wednesday July 28th, 1909. at 2
o'clock p. m.
Present: Mayor Keller, council
men, Schulz, Drown, Coalter,
Powers and Yaegcr, Clerk Black.
The return of the special election
held Tuesday July 27th, 1909 on the
question of the town adopting the
- new charter provided for in the
V Session Acts of 1907, having been
inado to the Town Clerk as re-
quired by law, the Common Coun-
cil'of the Town of Flagstaff" pro
t ceeded to canvass the same and
found that there were ninety-nine
votes casN as follows:

It was upon motion duly carried
that the new charter was not adopt

the same was referred to the water

ed to make an estimate of the cost
There being no further business
the council adjourned until the
next regular meeting unless a spe
cial meeting be called sooner than

will continue the business in Flag

Will Build Big Storage House.
Babbitt Bros., are hauling brick
and preparing to build a largo two
story storage warehouse on the old
' foundation just north of the big
store. The new building will be a
substantial one of good appearance.
Their big basement and storage
rooms have been crowded for a year
past and the new building will re-
lieve congested condition. One
half block is now practically cov-
' cred with their immense plant.

The owners of the above property
and all who are interested therein
are hereby notified that the Board
of Equalization will meet at the
office of the Board of Supervisors,
in the court house of Coconino
County, Territory of Arizona, at
nine o'clock in the forenoon of the
third Monday in August 1909, at
which time and place they will
take Up, consider and determine
whether the assessments above
specified, or any thereof, shall be
increased, when and where you can
be present with such witnesses as
you may bring and will be given a
hearing. These assessments will
be by the Board taken up and con
sidered in the order as they appear
above, unless, for good cause first
shown the time is extended in any
