THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING
TO THE PROPERTY TAX-PAYERS

OF SAID TOWN, THE QUESTION
OF BORROWING MONEY AND IS
SUING BONDS OF SAID TOWN IN
THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL
SUM OF SIXTY THOUSAND DOL
LARS ($60,000) AND THEREBY IN
CUR AN INDEBTEDNESS IN EX
CESS OF FOUR PER CENTUM OF
THE VALUE OF THE TAXABLE

of submitting to the property tax
payers who are in all other respects
qualified electors of the said town for
their vote and determination at said
election the following question:

Shall tho Town of Flagstaff,
Coconino County, Arizona, be au
thorized to borrow money and is
sue coupon bonds of said town in
the aggregate principal sum of
Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000)
and thereby incur an indebted
ness in excess of four per centum
of the value of the taxable prop
erty in said town for the purpose
of providing funds with which to
purchase ground for a public park
and improve and beautify the
same in and for said town.
The said bonds to be sixty
in number, numbered from
1 to 60 inclusive, of the de
nomination of $1,000 each, dated
November 1. 1922, bearing inter
est at the rate of six per centum
per annum, payable semi-annually,
the first days of November
and May of each year and ma
turing serially $5,000 on the 1st
day of November in each of the
years A. D. 1938 to A. D. 1949,
both years inclusive?
Section 2: That the polling place
for said election is the City Hall of
said town and polls shall'be'open at
the hour of 8 o'clock A. M. on said
day at said place and shall remain op
en until the hour of 6 o'clock P. M.
of said day when they shall be closed
and the following tax-payers who are
in all other respects, qualified elec
tors of said town are hereby appointed
judges and clerks respectively to con
duct said election:

to be posted in at least five public
places within said town and at the
polling place in said town at least
twelve days prior to the date set for
said election and by causing a copy
of this ordinance to be published in
The Coconino Sun, the official news
paper of said town in five consecu
tive weekly issues of said paper im
mediately preceding tho date of said
election and said election shall be
held and the results thereof canvass
ed in all respects as provided by law.
Section 4: That the town clerk is
hereby authorized, ordered and direct
ed to cause the ballots to be used at
said election to be prepared, and fur
nished to the judges anL-clerks at
said election to be by them furnished
to the qualified electors and said bal
lots shall bo printed or written upon
plain white paper and shall have
printed thereon the question to be
submitted at said election as herein
provided, and the words "Bonds, Yes,"
and "Bonds, No," with proper instruc
tions as to the manner in which the
electors shall express their choice.
Section 5: It being necessary for
tho immediate preservation of the
publfc peace, health and safety, that
the Town of Flagstaff procure funds
as soon as possible for the purpose for
which said bonds are to bo issued, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately after its
passage and approval by tho mayor.
Section 6: All ordinances, resolu
tions, orders or parts thereof in con
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
