numerable bright and charming femi

ing them here give promise of spring
fetes galore and an airing of more
sartorial brilliancy than has charac
terized any previous lenten season in
this community
Of course it will all be of a properly
subdued brilliance modified by suffi
cient sackcloth and ashes demure at
tendance upon lenten services and
giving of alms to make it doubly in
teresting and add new luster to the
marvelous creations or more or less
artistic creators
It is a frapped spirit that does not
thrill some sort of thrill at the com

Now ladies if you have Fronsay

mind the accent those noble republi
I cans antf some of them are awfully
noble and royally loyal to the present
notwithstanding the pastare weary
of the true Payreezhun and cockney
French and are searching for novelty
aside from the American twang of
the Yankee abroad Speak right out
in meeting them In the best French
your teachers have permitted your
limitations to acquire It may sound
funny to the naturalized citizen of
Law Bell Franz but the gallant gen
tleman will be sure to respond in the
language he believes you do speak
correctly andwhat fun youll have
Dont please dont thank them for
Lafayettes kindness to your four

And by the way cultivate and en
courage the visitors to the very verge
of despair if you will butdont en
tirely cut the home boys They have
their season of usefulness for ten
twelfths of the year andandIt
would be very embarrassing if they
should cultivate the Tampa bachelor
spirit of 98
Five of those Tampa wretches and
they were terribly eligible too banded
together and solemnly vowed to cut
the girls out for the future in return
for being ousted by blue cloth and
brass buttons during the war
And they kept their vow for a whole
year calling on the girls and es
corting them to church and for an
occasional tantalizing troll past cafes
soda fountains and the like but os

pay places in a bunch alone Fancy
alone not a girl with them at the
