A severe storm crossed this sec
tion Monday afternoon, doing con
siderable damage to the crops.
Many from this place were in at
tendance at the ice cream social
given last Saturday evening at Le
moyne in the school yard. The social
was given by the band boys and
quite a large crowd was in attend
ance. Mrs. Henry Clague and son Arthur
of Cleveland motored through from
Cleveland last Saturday and aro vis
iting friends and relatives of this
place and vicinity. They formerly
resided on a farm southwest of here.
.Mrs. Thomas Holden of Findlay Is
visiting Mrs. John Double and Mrs.
Anna Kurfls, her sisters.
Chas. Wagoner has now opened a
grocery at his new quarters and Is
ready to accommodate all prospect
ive purchasers In this line.
Mr. Corwln Waggoner lias gone on
a fishing excursion.
Mr, Grovor Hagg has entoretl upon
his duties as clerk in the store of
Corwln Waggoner.
Mr. Guy Wilson, day operator at
this place, has been on tho sick list.
Herman Bahnscn was a Sunday
visitor of his parents.
Carl Piper of Toledo has been
spending his vocation at this place
during tho past week.
On last Saturday morning John
Swartz, residing on a farm onc-hnlf
mile west of hero, was oporatod irpon
for appendicitis. He became severe
ly HI last Tuesday afternoon and
continued to grow worso, and nftor
consulting various physicians, it was
finally decided that an operation was
necessary. Tho operation was per
formed by Dr. Win. Rhelnfrank, of
Perrysburg. Tho patient is being at
tended to by Dr. Prico of this placo.
The business man who will spare a few minutes' of his time to
the photographer of to-day will please hss whole family.
