Cincinnati, where site will be dismantled,
will pas this port to-day.
People going to Paducah will rind the
Champion, leaving this afternoon at three
o'clock, just the boat they want. She is the

The huge tug, Hop Louden Jr., built to

Many of our southern exchanges are ag
itated over the condition of the southern
streams, and they are not backward in giv
ing vent to their feelings. Ia speaking of
the late trip of the government steamer Oc-
tavia into the Arkansas river, the Memphis
Avalanche say "she did no other work than
to make a 'pr tspecting' or investigating
trip up and down. A boat will be sent at
an earlv date to pull the snags out of the
