The weather is close and sultry and
showers of rain are of daily occurence.
The market, in all its branches continues
very quiet without change in prices as
quoted in our last review, owing to light re
ceipts and Bhort stocks.
FLOUR-Old stocks are light in all
grades and dealers report an increase in the
demand. There is very little new flour in
the market as new wheat is not yet in
IIAY The demand and receipts are
both light. The market may be called
very dull. There is no demand at all for
CORN Prices are only sustained at
present figures by tbe light supply and
6mall receipts. The mills are Supplied and
demand only moderate to fill orders.
BUTTER Strictly choice is in fair de
mand. Common is cot wanted at any
EGGS Sell readily on arrival. There is
no surplus on the market and prices rule
CHICKENS There is a fair demand
for both old and young and very light re
ceipts. FRUIT Berries of all kinds sell readily
but apples are a drug in the market.
POTATOES Scarce and wanted.
TOBACCO Receipts are moderate and
sales qdick at good figures.
