supplied with freight and added more here
and left for New Orleans at midnight.

The Iron Mountain and barges arrived at
midnight. She left part of her tow at Casey
ville and sent for it.
The Means came down ;Sunday morning
with the new barge of Mississippi Valley
Transportation Company, it was landed at
the whurf and she was exspected during the
day by many of our citizens and is consid
ered the finest barge that has yet come
down the river. She is now loading at the
wharf-boat and will get away during the

at a. m. and passed lieyond the city limits
where she went to the bank to make some
repairs. Capt. Williams says he is going to
take her to Paducah to be docked.
The Silver Cloud came in at noon with a
big trip of freight and good passenger list,
she was detained 0 hours by fog. Mrs.
Woodward and daughter who have been at
Dixon Springs lor the past mouth, returned
on the Cloud. .
The Gold Dust arrived nt 4 o'clock,
loaded to the guards. She added a liltle
way freight here and departed for New
Orleans at 6 p. m.

The weather for the past few days has
been unseasonably cold so cold that
thick clothing was almost a necccfsity for

lating. Tho market is weaker and prices
have a tendency to drop.
HAY. There is more coming in and the
market is bare. The demand is confined to
the local trade.
CORN. The movement is small, but re
ceipts are light and prices are steady and
OATS. Receipts are fair and demand
moderate. Prices rule the same as
our last review.
W?I EAT. Quotations arc a'shado lower
MEAL Prices are shaded a little to-day.
BRAN Quotations arc 45 to 50 cent at
the mills for order lots.
BUTTER The market is shaded a little
on choice with ample receipts for the pres
ent demand. ' Common is over stocked, and
