Memphis, Tenn., Sept. 7. The following
tour white persons were embraced in the
eleven new cases reported to-day: Nancy
Hughes, 53, Ferguson's alley, near tho
corner of Beale and Hernando; Frank Mes-
ter, 52, hospital; W. E. Leo, 12, 83 Third;
Martha White, 5?, S3 Third. The remain
der are colored people. The official rc
ports of deaths show eight deaths, of which

the eight interments, five were white, as
follows: Pauline 'Whitehead, 10, corner
Pontotoc and Walnut; Mrs. llattto Walker.

mouths, Henry avenue; Mamie Secog, 4
years, Henry avenue. One other interment
was made death charged to debility.
There are also reports of two new cases
not down on the health ofllco records, Col.
T. Prestige and his daughter Pearl.
Both diagnosed yellow fever this morning.
Col. Prestige is prominent as president of
the Citizens' Auxiliary Sanitary association,
organized in tho earley pnrt of the summer
to aid the authoiities in putting the city in
good sanitary, condition. Col. Prestige's
family have already been stricken but have
recovered. As far as can be learned all

Dr. Phinkctt, president of the state board
of health to-day urging that the fanners be
permitted to bring their cotton into tho
