cases reported at the board ot health and
five at the Howards, aggregating 14, all
but one whites.
Tho fever is sprending alarmingly in
that portion of Chelsea, the Ninth ward,
known as the Second street stock-yards, a
great number being now sick just outside
the city borders.
There has been much anxiety atxmt the
rumored outbreak of the fever at various
points in Arkansas, including Duvall's Bluff,

Forest City, Ark., Oct. 14. Tho board
of health report six casci of yellow fever
here, four of which have died within the
past six days. The origin of the fever is
not known. Business is entirely suspended
and the town almost depopulated.

Littte Rock, Oct 14. Cases of yellow
fever aro reported existing at Honefield.

miles west. The Howards have been tele
graphed to at Memphis, for nurses. Six
cases arc reported at Forrest City," four of
whom died. Trains have been suspended
on the Memphis railroads, east of Brinkley.
Forrest City is ninety miles east of Little
Rock and no apprehensions are felt here.
