THIRTEEN NEW CASES AND SEVEN
DEATHS AT MEMPHIS.
Memphis, Oct. 21. Ten new cases, five,
whites, and seven interments, six whites,
make up the news from official sources to
day. The Howards add three names to the
FORREST CITY, AUK.
Memphis Tenn., Oct, 21. A telegram to
the Western Associated Press from Forrest
City, Ark., sa-3: "Three new cases have
developed. The town had a very gloomy
appearance last uiijht. Not a man was to
be seen on the streets. The Howards at
Memphis have been telegraphed to send
four nurses. The weather is too warm, and
worse is feared unless it socn turns colder.
The fever is very malignant. Thirteen out
of sixteen attacked, have died." A special
train will convey four more nurses to For
rest City this afternoon.
Cree.wii.le, Miss., Oct. 21. Nine new
cases and three deaths at Concordia since
last report. The new cases are the three
children ot the Rev. Dr. Plow, Mrs. Terry
an infant child of Mrs. Key, and four col
ored. The deaths are J. W. Scruggs, the
Rev. Dr. Perry and one colored. Dr. May
us is convalescent.

in granting. Tho persons in whose behalf

ladies of Scituate, Miss., Miss Rebecca and
Miss Abigail Bates; and tho gen-ices for
which, at this late day, they ask a slight
recompense from tho national treasury,

1S12. Tho sisters lived then, as
now, in Scituate, and in August
or September, 1814, tho war-was brought to
