The mining district of which Leadville
is the centre, has ft large body of ore un
derlying the whole country. This is in a
wave-like deposit. The tops of the waves
coming to or near the surface, were llrst dis
covered, and are being worked in many
cases wilh but little capital. In other in
stances, the mines have been sold to com
panies at prices up in the millions, vet.
from their enormou yield are paying large
dividends, even on the larfe piiec at which
the mines were Mocked. Other claims are
lying Idle for want of cspital to sink them
to the deposit, ns it lies so much lower.
These claims having talc, porphvry and
other mineral indications of the pay which
ies deeper.
It is this class of claims which the com
pany proposes to buy and operate.
The company now owns the Honest Abe
tiiiue, situnted About three miles from tho1
centre of Leadville, and 2,000 feet from the
celebrated Long and Dorry mine. It has
every evidence of being an unusually good
property, having many veins of carbonate,
talc, black iron, etc., which will undoubt
edly lead to good pay.
The company now offer $10,000 worth of
stock for sale for the purpose of developing
this property. This stock Is non-asscssalle,
and if simiI.1T bodies of ore are struck as
usually are with the same indications,
every f 3 share becomes worth from $30 to
2,300, which was the rate of increased
value of the Little Pittsburg, Robert E.
Lee, and many other mines.
When stock shall have been sold suf
ficient to developed the Honest Abe. other
parcels of stock will he put on the market
for developing other mines, until the whole
$200,000 shall have been placed.

from the average profits of the group of
mines.
