The -Market. Tnn-DAY Evening, June 3d, liSO. T(:o weather, that never failing subject of praise or complaint, has proved itself un certain and unseasonable lately. May closed hot and sultry but the advent of June brought a ta'te of early December. The past three days hate been un-eason-ably cold. A dull market is usually anticipated at this season ot the year, but the extreme dullness in grain and farm produce' that prevails at present is surprising and it seems to grow worse instead of better with every day that passes. FLOUR Very dull and and prices have a tendency to decline. HAY Easy and lower, nothing but choice is called for. Lnv grades are cot wanted. Only a strictly '-gilt edge" will bring 1G.00. CORN Prices cf white and mixed are together. The demand is only moderate. OATS We note a decline of one cent since the first cf the month. The market is wcli supplied and demand only mod crate. MEAL The demand is fair and prices steady and unchanged. BRAN Quotations are lower to-day. BUTTER I'leutv, dull and unchanged. EGGS The market holds firm, and re ceipts are all taken on arrival. CHICKENS Receipts are fair and the demand moderate. POTATOES Good demand and mode rate supply. ONIONS Good demand and very scarce. FRUIT Strawberries are in good de mand. Receipts of all kinds of email fruits find ready sale on arrival. TOBACCO Prices about the same as la?t week, Receipts hare been larger, since the favorable weather set in and transactions have been heavy aiid satisfactory. ssales and Quotations.
