The weather is clear aD3 very warm; no
rain has fallen since the fourth, and all the
evidence of the late stormB have dis
appeared from this Diction, except the high
and swelling flood of the Ohio and Missis
sippi. Thcb" rivers now present the un
usal phenomenon of both rising at the same
time, but as the cousc is purely the late
heavy and cootinuous rains, no uneasiness
is felt on the score of high water.
The bad weather has had a depressing
effect on tobacco. Planters are of the
opinion that, should the late setting make a
god crop it will not more than cover the
damage already sustained by the first.
FLOUR--Stock8 of choice grades have
become so much reduced that the merchants
find it difficult to keep up with the orders.
HAY There is a better feeling pervades
the market, so far as strictly choice is con
cerned. Stocks are ample for the demand'
CORN The supply is good and the de
mand only moderate.
OATS The market is well supplied but
there is no demand at all.
