The weather is very hot. The effect ol

drying up under the influence of the hot
aun, ia to be seen in the green, fresh looks
of Tcgetatiori and the smiling countenances
of farmers, since the fears of spoiled crops
have proved groundless.
FLOVR The demand continues good
for choice grades and the supply very
limited. Low grades are a drug in the
MAY We tote a stronger feeling in
prices of choice and an advance of $100 ton
since last week low grades are not wanted.
CORN Receipts and dsrnand are about
equal, both being light. Prices rule 6tcady
OATS Dull and unchanged. Receipts
and demand are both light.
MEAL The stock of city meal is ex
hausted; the demand exceeds the manu
facture. Country is plenty and easy.
BRAN Quiet and easy at quotations.
BUTTER Choice is in steady demand
Common is plenty and dull.
EGGS-Very dull. The heat has
knocked the bottom out of the market.
CHICKENS The market is weaker, es
pecially for old. Choice young are in
