"I htven't had a sword since I have been
in the service, and I 8m in urgent need of
one, I do sfsure you. If I don't have a
sword in ten minutes, what with my bad
cold and the heard-heartedness of my mili
tary superiors, I feel that I shall die."
"Bless my soul!" exclaimed the general,
putting an end to his reverie, "this is a
very serious case indeed. I oh, well, take
it along. Use it, my fine fellow, in defense
of your country, and may heaven bless you.
