Col. Sol. Silver goes to New York Sun
day. Of course after Mr. Silver's departure,

battle on the lower Ohio. We can say,
however, in advance of his departure, and

Tho weather is very changeable as re
gards temperature, and very wet cb regards
its condition to day. After several days of
cold, last night a heavy rain set in that
lasted until morning, and to-day has been
tho kind that tho parson prayed tor. It
has been "drizzle, drizzle," all day, with
the prospect of continuing for a week, and
it may clear to-morrow. Business would
be brisk in some departments of commis
sion trade if supplies could bo obtained.

BUTTER Choice is in active request ut
good figures. Common is plenty and not
EGGS Firm at quotations.
POLUTRY Choice old hens find ready
sale at $2 50. Good large spring chickens
are in demand at f2 00, but small chickens
are not wanted.
