The Memphis and Arkansas River packet Ouachita Btdlc struck a enag this morning at 1 o'clock, fire miles aljove Austin, Miss., and sunk within ten minutes afterwards. The boat is valued at 20,000. She lies within two hundr-d yards of the Robert Mitchell, which sunk yesterday atternoon. No lives lost. It is thought the boat will prove a total loss. On application to General Manager Peart e, who is at the ufllco of the Indiana Investment Company, the financial agency of that Company, information was furnished to the effect that the award was made for the bonds and that a contract Tor the construction of the mill has been let to the Gates and Scovillo Iron Works Compa ny, of Chicago, III., as per memoranda, to wit : "It is agreed by and between tlio Gates & Scovil Iron Works company of Chicago, III., of the first part, and the Colorado Co operative Prospecting and Mining com pany, of Color, do, the second part; that the party of the first psrt will furnish ma terials, and make in a good and workman like manner, and deliver free on board of cars in Chicago for the second paity, a ten stamp mill, stone breaker, engine and boil er, and connections, complete, as specified in written estimates furnished. President This is the culmination of the Stamp Mill order, and explains why the 6tock took such a jump last week. It is known that the average ore of the Company's mines at Galena is $ 4'J per ton, and a treatment of twenty tons per day will bring a revenue of per day to the Company, and enable them to pay at least $3-",000 per month in dividends. The stock is now held at $H.25 per share, and will be at par within ninety days. In all probability this can be had on the installment plan of thirty, sixty and ninety days' payment, one-third down.
